  • Payment Information:Credit card numbers, billing addresses, and other payment details. Note: Payment information is processed and stored by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored on our servers.
  • Government ID: We may request a copy of your government-issued ID for identity verification purposes.

2.2 Information From Hosts

If you register as a host, we may also collect:

  • Storage Space Address: The address of the property where you will provide storage space.
  • Storage Space Photos: Photos of your storage space for listing purposes
  • Bank Account Information: Bank account details for receiving payouts. Note: This information is processed and stored by Stripe.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

    When you access our Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.

4.1 With Other Users

    When you make a booking or list a storage space, certain information may be shared with the other party to facilitate the transaction:
  • Renters: Your name and email may be shared with hosts upon booking confirmation. Your phone number and pickup/delivery address may be shared with hosts or Boxmate service providers as needed for coordination.
  • Hosts: Your name, email, and storage space location (city/state) may be shared with renters. Your full address will be shared with renters upon booking confirmation.

4.2 Service Providers

    We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
  • Payment Processing: Stripe processes all payments and stores payment information securely.
  • Electronic Signatures: DocuSeal or similar services for contract signing.
  • Email and Communication: Email service providers for sending notifications and marketing communications.
  • Analytics: Analytics providers to help us understand how our Services are used.
  • Cloud Hosting: Cloud service providers for data storage and hosting.
